A Lost Opportunity

A year ago, anyone suggesting that organized street violence was moving us toward civil war, I would have thought them insane. But, with hard-line militants orchestrating and enticing the rioting, looting, and burning down cities, we are nearing that possibility. We see the loss of innocent lives and properties destroyed that people worked their entire lives to build. We see incompetent city leaders afraid to protect their citizens.
Politicians, the Media, BLM organization, and Antifa are all contributing to the problem. They are using violence to increase personal gain and political power. Citizens are being pitted against each other along racial lines. They are caught in the middle and used as pawns.
As long as weak leaders appease the rioters and the corrupt media fans the flames, things will worsen.
The country yearns for leaders at the local level to develop solutions and ideas to keep our country united and not a splintered nation. Professional athletes, with their popularity, could rise to the occasion.
