A year ago, anyone suggesting that organized street violence was moving us toward civil war, I would have thought them insane. But, with hard-line militants orchestrating and enticing the rioting, looting, and burning down cities, we are nearing that possibility. We see the loss of innocent lives and properties destroyed that people worked their entire lives to build. We see incompetent city leaders afraid to protect their citizens.
Politicians, the Media, BLM organization, and Antifa are all contributing to the problem. They are using violence to increase personal gain and political power. Citizens are being pitted against each other along racial lines. They are caught in the middle and used as pawns.
As long as weak leaders appease the rioters and the corrupt media fans the flames, things will worsen.
The country yearns for leaders at the local level to develop solutions and ideas to keep our country united and not a splintered nation. Professional athletes, with their popularity, could rise to the occasion. But they are squandering their once admired and respected reputation. They are being used by the same people inflaming mobs to loot rather than protest peacefully.
Professional athletes show solidarity with those encouraging the violence, clenching their fists and kneeling to express racial injustice. They don’t see that they are being used to divide Americans and push the country toward socialism. Why can’t athletes see what socialism would do to our freedoms and even the sports world and their sports careers?
Please don’t misunderstand; I get it. There is genuine anger felt by many that feel social injustice is occurring. I’m not questioning the anger felt by professional athletes or any other group. There are issues regarding social justice that need addressing and solutions found.
Violence on our streets is not the answer. It only serves the agendas of those organizing the riots, not the lives of those rioting or the riots’ victims. It divides us and tears our nation apart.
United, America succeeds. Divided with mob violence and riots, America becomes a third world country where the Velvet Lies of Socialism promises to be the solution, and our freedom is lost.
